From Chiang Mai we took the bus up windy mountain roads to the little village of Pai. Ten years ago Pai was still a sleepy village but today it has transformed into something completely different.
It is still a small village which more or less only consists of three streets. It has however become a real tourist spot attracting backpackers as well as outdoor enthusiasts. The center of town is a mixture of guest houses, small restaurants and tour operators. While walking down the streets, the town gives off a very lively feeling from all of the alternative and hip cafes and bars.
Pai is a cool place to visit if you just want to sit back, relax and take in the beautiful surroundings.
