The hanging bridges

Our last visit to the Costa Rican jungle was a trip to the Arenal Hanging Bridges. It is a mixture of trails and bridges through an area of the rain forest that has a high diversity of animal and plant species. A total of sixteen bridges hung as high as 60 meters above the ground enables you to explore various levels of the forest.

This relatively short hike turned out to be a perfect place for spotting snakes, frogs, tarantulas and birds.
