Manuel Antonio National Park

Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica's smallest and most accessible national parks. It is a coastal  park along the pacific coast and provides stunning views.

With the park being one of Central America's top tourist destinations it was no surprise to see the large crowds of people piling into the park at eight o'clock in the morning. As we set out on a hiking trail we were suddenly surrounded by silence and gorgeous nature, all of the people were gone. We later realized that most visitors come in flip flops and head straight for the park's beautiful beaches instead.

The highlight of the day was our picnic lunch in the jungle overlooking beautiful forests. Suddenly the branches in the tree above us started to move, a Toucan had decided to share our lunch spot.
